Interlibrary Loan System – ILL

 

It is a user service offered by our library so that users can access information resources (books, articles, book chapters, thesis, etc.) that are not available in our institution's resources.

1. Academic staff, doctoral and graduate students benefit from the Documentation Service by filling the REQUEST FORM.
2. Book section requests; For chapters over 10 pages, the entire book is requested instead of the chapter.
3. The arrival time of the resources in other libraries is 3 days on average. This period may vary depending on the institution sending the source and the cargo operation.
4. The user who makes the request agrees to use it without violating copyrights and without damaging the cover, volume and pages of the book.
5. In order to extend the usage period of the borrowed resource, the relevant person (ill@akdeniz.edu.tr) must be notified 5 days before the return date. The extension period and number vary depending on the rules of the library from which the resource is borrowed.
6. If the user does not receive the requested resource within the usage period, he cannot request the same resource again.
7. If the borrowed resource is lost, damaged or returned late after delivery, the responsibility belongs to the user. In this case, the borrowing library's rules apply.
8. Costs in bringing and returning the publication belong to the user.
9. The user can request up to 5 resources at a time.

 

Which materials cannot be borrowed

All e-Books, Theses restricted by the Author, Reference materials (dictionary, encyclopedia, etc.) and a whole periodical cannot be borrowed.

 

REQUEST STAGES

   1 - The requested resources and information can be obtained primarily from the catalogs of the university libraries or from the National Collective Catalogue (TO-KAT) system is found by searching.

   2 - The Request Form is filled.

   3 - When the information that the publication has arrived at the library is received, it is received by the user within 3 days.
