THESIS PROVIDING SERVICES FOR AKDENİZ UNIVERSITY RESEARCHERS

 

YÜKSEKÖĞTERİM KURULU has opened approximately 150 thousand old-dated (before 2006) theses  in the National Thesis Center Archive, which are not allowed to be published in digital media, for research through the Turkish Document Supply and Lending System (TÜBESS) run by TÜBİTAK, ULAKBİM. If the publication requested for the service is not available in the library collection, it is obtained from other research and university libraries in Turkey.

 

Who Can Benefit?

Akdeniz University Academic/Administrative staff and MSc/PhD students benefit from the service of Akdeniz University TÜBESS.

 

What can I ask for?

Theses made in DIFFERENT universities, whose full text cannot be downloaded from YÖK Thesis Center, are obtained from YÖK through the Turkish Document Supply System (TÜBESS).

 

How long will my request take?

The response time for applications varies depending on the relevant library's documentation policy.

 

How can I make a request?

Before making a request, check whether the thesis you are looking for can be downloaded from the YÖK Thesis Center.

The libraries in which the needed resources are available can be determined by scanning TOKAT (National Collective Catalogue).

The Thesis Request Form is filled and an application is made to the TÜBESS supervisor.

After your thesis request, which will be entered into the TÜBESS system by the TÜBESS supervisor,  you will be informed by our e-mail address you specified on the form and you will be asked to come to the Akdeniz University Library to receive the printout of the thesis you requested.

Our researcher can request a maximum of 3 theses at a time.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The thesis requested through TÜBESS is free of charge and is provided electronically to the TÜBESS supervisor; but 6.3.5 of the TÜBESS Participation Protocol ,only the PRINTED format of the thesis will be delivered to the person requesting the thesis, the printout fee will be paid to the photocopy department in the library.
