Accessible Library Project for the Visually Impaired

Electronic library portal software we have developed for visually impaired individuals

We are pleased to share with you the electronic library portal project, the development of which was started in 2021 by us within the body of Akdeniz University and we are still developing.

 

You can get the resources from our system in the light of the relevant law by making your individual membership on our portal, where you can access 5000 books on the system at the first stage.

 

Relevant legal text

ADDITIONAL ARTICLE 11. - If there is no copy of the written scientific and literary works, including textbooks, produced for the disabled, for the use of a disabled person without any commercial purpose, for the use of a disabled person or a third person. Reproduction or loaning in cassettes, CDs, braille and similar formats as needed by institutions such as educational institutions, foundations or associations serving the disabled can be reproduced or loaned in a single copy without obtaining the permissions stipulated in this Law. "These copies cannot be sold or traded in any way and cannot be used for purposes other than its intended purpose. In addition, it is obligatory to have information about the right holders on these copies and to indicate the purpose of reproduction." In accordance with the article, I confirm that I will not use electronic resources for any purpose other than their intended purpose, otherwise I will assume the legal responsibility that may arise.

Login screen

You can log in from the individual login screen with the EKÜP (Accessible Library Portal) software. However, in the first step, you need to apply for membership from the individual membership application link.

 

After you fill out the membership form, we will receive information and your membership will be activated. You can get information by calling us at this number (90 242 310 17 12)  to inquire about your membership status.

In the interface, you can navigate between sections with the letter "H" with your screen reader. On the team homepage;

Latest Books

You can access the latest books uploaded from this area. When you open each book, the book details expandable button and the download book button will appear. You can download the book with the download book button.

Categories area

You can access the links related to the categories uploaded to the system from this area. When you click on the links called book category, the books belonging to that category will be listed.

 

Endnotes

The EKÜP system is still being developed. Members who have previously registered in our system, we ask you to register again.
